* * *
Heavy Lies the Crown is a photographic episode derived from feelings of guilt, pressure, and shame for actions that we choose to take regardless of morality but only for selfish benefit.
Parallel to the quote, “Without hard work there is no success”, I've discovered that these ideas are not false but are something of an absolute truth, but only to those who are self-aware.
For we should not take for granted the kindness of others for our own selfish advancements, for people and feelings are as delicate as a flower, but can weigh on our conscience like a heaping pile of bricks.
We pick at the petals of each other’s hearts and emotions, hoping for one more glimmering hope in an empty core, but sometimes we've already detached it ourselves, leaving us empty amongst fruitful others in the soil.
