What’s your name? What’s your game? Show your cards. Your Queen of Hearts. Look harder. Look closer.

Second Hand Heart expose their dark edge to the Melbourne scene with their latest offering, Spending My Time. A raw and gritty soundscape that pulls at you with shadowy and seductive overtones.

Exploring their darker side, lead vocalists Lily and Jess interweave their vocals and chase you with a direct sense of immanency. Written late at night, the track drives with thunderous soundscapes, floating guitars, and crisp percussion.

Second Hand Heart have garnered critical acclaim with their last single Hold On as Inpress’ ‘Single of the Week’ and ‘Film Clip of the Week’ at Jplay. Also receiving support from Triple J, ABC, Rage and community radio Australia-wide including 3RRR, PBS, Southern FM.

Their notoriety has earned them coveted support slots with Hunting Grounds, Asta, Ainslie Wills, Kate-Miller Heidke, Saskwatch and Art of Sleeping, to name a few. Now, as part of Melbourne Music Week, Second Hand Heart will perform at a special show on November 17th at the Toff In Town with Georgia Fields and Paperhouse, previewing their upcoming album. Accompanied by a string section from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the band will also perform a pop-up show in Melbourne’s CBD during the day.

Spending My Time is the third taster from Second Hand Heart’s upcoming debut album, which is due early 2014. It pulls you in with tense guitar and eerie yet beautiful vocal patterns before ending in a fiery finale leaving you… urging you… to look harder.
